After cybersquatting on the name brianjamesoconnell.com for years (a Pakistani man has brianoconnell.com; I do not know why), I finally got this bad boy up and running.

Great thanks should go to Kevin McShane for the outstanding design and build he did on this site.  I also thank him for making it so that a monkey could update this website.

And that doesn't mean I'm not technically inclined.  I have a Film Editing degree from an accredited university.  I know my way around a computer.  I actually plan on purchasing a monkey to do these updates once the work schedule becomes too cumbersome for me to do the upkeep on this site personally. The monkey's name will be Magnum T.A. and if you don't get that reference I'm not sure we can be friends.

This is what you can expect from this blog section of brianjamesoconnell.com:

- It's going to be funny.  I'm not going to waste your time.

- It's going to be interesting.  I'm not going to waste your time.

- It's going to be brief.  I'm not going to waste your time.

- I'm not going to repeat myself.

But, ultimately, it will be about me, projects I'm working on and subjects I find interesting (Robots Vs. Monsters, Horrifying Pre-historic Sea Creatures That Want To Kill Us, etc. etc, just to name a few.)

I promise that if you read these missives, I will never bore you with daily minutiae about my cat or my house plants or this really funny thing the lady said in front of me at the checkout line.

I promise I won't use this as a personal diary so that I can blab and blubber about problems in my love life or how 'the world is so unfair'.

In return for your time reading a website named after me, I won't make you hate me through aforementioned site.

So go ahead and just bookmark this site (or set it to be your homepage?) because when you see me, I will drop a pop quiz on your ass.
