EXTRA-STRENGTH is an extraordinary and unique experience for any fan of improvised comedy. This daring and energetic team of veteran players performs “3 Mad Rituals,” which consists of a Harold, a Deconstruction and a Slacker, back-to-back-to-back and non-stop over the course of an hour. Each segment is inspired by different audience suggestions but blend together to create a single, fast-paced and hilarious one-of-a-kind show.
Originally performed by the legendary THE FAMILY at iO Chicago and directed by Del Close, “3 Mad Rituals” made its Los Angeles debut in 2008 with EXTRA-STRENGTH. You don’t want to miss it. Word to the wise: you may get wet on this ride (because the team is usually covered in sweat by the end).

The Armando Show is an hour-long improvised comedy show inspired by an audience suggestion, which the celebrity hosts interpret through a personal and truthful improvised monologue. Inspired by that monologue, a cast composed of veteran Chicago and Los Angeles alumni perform scenes that, in turn, inspire a response from Armando. This propels hilarious interchanges between Armando’s monologues and the company’s scenes.
The cast includes Dan Bakkedahl (Daily Show, 30 Rock), Frank Caeti (MAD TV), Betty Cahill (SNL), Mike Coleman (The Factory),Josh DuBose (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip), Molly Erdman (According to Jim), Thomas Fowler (Joey, World Cup Comedy), James Grace (Super Troopers), Dave Hill (La La Land), Jessica Makinson (Halfway Home), Seamus McCarthy (The Tourist Trap), Jason Pardo (The Brothers Solomon), David Razowsky (Roseanne, Working, Second City Mainstage), Zabeth Russell (Mystic River), Douglas Sarine (Ask a Ninja, Monk), Brian Shortall (In Treatment), Brandon Sornberger (Bodega), Miles Stroth (Global, Inc.), Jean Villepique (30 Rock, The Office).
Reservations are strongly recommended.
LA Times reviewer F. Kathleen Foley describes the performance by saying, " …this free-associative repetition melds into Zen-like flights of fancy…."
This show is the reason to see live improv in Los Angeles.
